Wednesday Bible Study (WBS)

  Come fill the soil of your soul! Join fellow Holy Trinity parishioners at Wednesday Bible Study to collectively grasp an understanding of God through His Word. Both Scripture and Sacraments are precious gifts from the Lord, gifts we desperately need and are bound to use. When we approach the Scriptures prayerfully, aided by the same Spirit who dwells in them, reading Scripture becomes an experience of being filled and empowered by God’s Spirit, and we are changed.
WBS Fall 2026 — "James: Pearls for Wise Living"
- This fall, explore the practical teachings of the letter of James and how they offer clear guidance for navigating the challenges of everyday life in James: Pearls for Wise Living. The letter addresses perseverance in trials, the power of our words, the source of conflict, and the path to true wisdom and peace. Written to strengthen the early Church, James shows how authentic faith must be lived out through our actions.
  
  Presented by Jeff Cavins and Sarah Christmyer, this engaging study unpacks how the teachings of James speak to those of us who feel torn between the competing demands of this world and our faith, and helps you discover and apply the wisdom of James’ teachings to daily life. This 11-session study will begin on Wednesday, September 9th and meet weekly from 9:00-11:00am in the Fireside Room.

  Online access to the video materials (for one year) is no longer automatically included with the purchase of a physical workbook. We'll be watching the videos together, so having online access is not required. Some folks enjoy being able to watch the videos again after class, however — to do so, you will need to add-on this separate purchase.

- Wednesday Bible Study typically includes a Fall Study and a Winter Study, each ranging from 10-14 sessions in length (not including weeks taken off due to holidays). Sometimes a longer study of 24+ sessions is done instead of two different studies. All sessions are held on Wednesdays in the Fireside Room from 9:00-11:00am.
